Our Caregivers

Caregiver Training & Qualifications

All caregivers are trained in accordance with Georgia state regulations and agency standards to ensure safe, respectful, and high-quality care. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on skill development.

Caregivers receive education in:

  • Personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and safe transfers

  • Infection control and safety practices, such as proper hand hygiene, home safety awareness, and emergency preparedness

  • Client rights and dignity, emphasizing privacy, respect, independence, and ethical caregiving

  • Effective communication, including interaction with clients, families, and care supervisors

  • Observation and reporting, recognizing changes in condition and promptly reporting concerns

  • Nutrition and meal assistance, including safe food handling and feeding support

  • Specialized care awareness, such as dementia care techniques, body mechanics, and fall prevention

Caregivers must demonstrate competency before providing care and participate in ongoing annual training to maintain skills and stay current with best practices. Background checks and supervision are conducted in compliance with Georgia Department of Community Health requirements.
